About

Previous Entry Jul. 10th, 2009 @ 10:29 am Next Entry
Read the Julie/Julia Project last night - it was entertaining and made me want to pick up a cookbook and work my way through it. in fact, I picked up the Joy of Cooking and browsed through it a bit. This morning, I started Julia Child's My Life In France and I don't want to put it down. I've been reading in between cases, just loving it. She's just so passionate about food and cooking. I love food, too. I love creating something delicious and watching people enjoy what I made. I just hate cleaning up afterwards. :D

Stupidhead's other check bounced, as I knew it would, so we're short on funds until I get paid on Wednesday and Bren gets paid next Friday. It's a good thing work has been offering some OT, even though I won't see it on my paycheck until the end of the month.

Ben's going home with MIL tonight, so I'll be doing some laundry and working OT tomorrow. And getting uninterrupted sleep tonight. There are other things I'd like to be doing, but due to lack of funds and both Bren and I being under the weather, I doubt any of them will be happening. It's a good thing I went to the library yesterday.

How many checks have to bounce before child support can be garnished from his wages? Because this is ridiculous. Or can that not be done?

I'd have to take him back to court and have it changed in the system. That involves putting down another retainer, travelling back to Tampa a few times to meet with the lawyer, and then having to go to court - which might take another 6 months. And after that, I wouldn't get any money for 3 months while the payments were being processed - which is why we agreed to paying directly in the first place.

Lame! Did you ever get paid back from the last check that bounced? Can you request to be paid in money order at least? Or certified check?

No, he said he'll give me the money when I get Katie back August 9. Because his account was "compromised" and "the bank has to research it." I'm going to request money orders from now on.

You might want to get copies of the bounced checks in case you need to take this to court...

Frickin' Stupidhead... >_<

Good idea on the money orders...

I'm 100% on the get a money order thing.

You may not get paid on time. BUT at least if you get it, it clears.

Sigh.
